In September, 2015, a beautiful community table was added to the garden as a part of the Drawing Lines project. The table was constructed of wood salvaged from the devastating Bastrop fires in 2011 and is 25 feet long to commemorate the 25 houses razed in this section of the neighborhood. The neighborhood celebrated the table’s arrival with a delicious community meal provided by Sonya Cote on September 28, 2015. To read more about this amazing gift to the garden, visit Drawing Lines’ District Five page.
The table remains in the garden as a focal point for community gatherings. For information on how to reserve this table, please contact us at email@example.com. UPDATE: Sadly, the table has not held up to weather and wildlife, and it is now unusable.
