Cherry Creek Community Garden
Garden Hours: Hours are from dawn until dusk.
Garden Seasons: CCCG observes two gardening seasons:
Spring – February 1st to July 31st
Fall – August 1st to January 31st
Gardener Commitments: Gardeners are required to maintain their own beds. Gardeners will commit to a minimum 2 hours per month on designated workday for common areas. Site Director will keep a list of tasks to be done in common areas. If you are unable to be present on that workday, the time can be made up or you may opt to pay $20.00 for that workday. See Site Director if you are not able to attend the workday.
Products: Only organic nutrients and pest control will be allowed. Please no chemical fertilizers. See Site Director for list of allowed and not-allowed products.
Composting: Members can reference what is allowed in the community compost bin by referring to the composting page. All composting questions should be directed to the compost coordinator.
Watering: Please see current city guidelines for any water restrictions. Hand watering is encouraged. Drip lines are allowed, but they may not be on a timer. There will be no unattended watering. Water will be conserved through the use of mulch, ollas, and rainwater.
Plants: There will be no invasive plants in common areas.
Inspection: All plots will be inspected by the site director on the monthly workday. If there is a violation, you will be allowed 30 days to correct the violation.
Tools: Tools are for use of all community garden members, who shall have access to the lock code. Tools should be clean when they are put up. Each person will be responsible for putting up the tools they use. The last person there needs to make sure that the tool shed is locked. The tool shed code will be changed periodically.
Children: No children 12 and under left unattended in the garden area. Children must be supervised at all times.
Pets: No pets in the garden area. Pets in the park must be kept on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Trash: The garden has a strict carry-in/carry-out policy. Please take any trash or recycling items you bring to the garden with you when you leave.
Plastic bags: Single-use plastic bags are not allowed at the garden. Please bring a reusable bag with you to carry your produce home.
This garden is litter, tobacco, and drug free. No firearms permitted.
